National Fish and Chip Day is back, and Sailors’ Children’s Society and Smales are bringing a taste of the seaside to Hull city centre for another fantastic fundraising celebration. Taking place in the Rose Bowl at Queen’s Gardens on Friday 5 June, the event promises fish and chips, free ice cream, lawn games and plenty of summer fun — all while raising vital funds for children and families from seafaring backgrounds facing crisis across the UK.
Guests can enjoy fish and chips in return for a donation, with bigger donations unlocking prizes including limited-edition chip forks, Hull’s famous chip spice, weekends away and Hmore. Following a hugely successful year of fundraising initiatives, the event continues Smales’ incredible support for families connected to fishing, offshore and maritime industries who are facing financial hardship, bereavement and crisis.
