Chop and Change, an innovative employment initiative supporting young people (16-19) with severe learning difficulties, is set to make a powerful impact at Humber Women in Business Week this June. Delivered in collaboration with The Deep, a longstanding supporter of the initiative, Chop and Change will provide lunch for the Humber Women in Business group, showcasing the progress made by our young people whilst fostering vital discussions on workplace inclusivity.
With a mission to bridge the employment gap for those with learning difficulties, Chop and Change works with businesses to create real-world work experiences and sustainable job opportunities. At this event, the team will highlight best practices for adapting workplaces and consulting with educators to unlock untapped talent.
Humber Women in Business Week is a key platform for regional business leaders to gain insights, expand networks, and explore new opportunities. By engaging with professionals and decision-makers, Chop and Change aims to inspire businesses to embrace diversity, adapt hiring strategies, and build truly inclusive work environments.
This collaboration reflects a shared vision for growth, opportunity, and meaningful change. Businesses attending the event will gain actionable knowledge on integrating people with learning difficulties into the workforce, ensuring inclusivity remains at the heart of regional economic development.
We invite all attendees to be part of this inspiring moment—learn best practices, meet the young people behind the programme, and leave with practical ways to make your workplace more inclusive.
